Re-positioning 3D model vs footprint

I needed to adjust the position of the 3D model relative to the footprint after I changed the footprint's origin. I did move the 3D model with capture position, then did finish/save. The 3D model looked as expected. However, the change doesn't get reflected in the 3D PCB (even after removing 3D PCB link) .

Should it be possible to adjust the 3D model position relative to the footprint after the initial creation? What am I missing?

@dev2EP8UX, yes, it's possible to adjust the position of the 3d model. But you need to start Edit from the library environment. I guess you opened the 3d model from data panel directly.

Thank you, @yqliu for your response. I did attempt the editing from the library area.

Then did you update the pcb document to use the new version of the library? If the library is changed, you have to update the PCB document.

Yes, of course the updates were made. In the end, this was "resolved" by starting over with the component from scratch.
