Report; gerber export, decimal separator issue

Hi,

On gerber viewers from pcbWay, jlcPCB and Ucamco the annular rings and line widths did not match my Fusion model.

They showed up like this:

But were designed like this:

I've read on the forum that people were having trouble with the Polygon command when using a comma as decimal separator and indeed, that was the issue here as well. Though unlike the polygon issue this one has not been fixed with the last update.

Obviously switching my Windows settings is a workaround but I did just order some PCB's with silly through hole pads before I noticed this error. 😉

Just wanted to make sure Autodesk is aware of this!

(And if you fix it, could you nudge the Revit MEP team to fix their comma separator errors as well, they have been on it for years!) 😉

Hi @PinRudolf ,

I hope you're doing well. Are you aware of the environment variable the corrects this so that you don't have to switch your Windows settings? Here it is for your info:

Environment variable to fix comma issue

FORCE_DECIMAL_GERBER_OUTPUT
true

Thank you kindly Jorge! That sounds much better! I'm going to check this out, first I need to learn how to set environment variables. 🙂

Hi @jorge_garcia ,

This issue seems to be solved with the latest update? The update description does not mention it but I can no longer reproduce the error. Can you confirm this?

Thank you kindly!

Hi @PinRudolf ,

I hope you're doing well. I know something was coming in this update to help with the CAM and polygon output. I'll confirm but I think the devs fixed it.

I'll repost once I have it confirmed.
