Rendering (View 3D PCB & View 3D PCB with canvas) is this intended?

So I learned that we have two ways of pushing 2D pcb to 3D with canvas or no canvas.
Without the canvas soldermask is transparent allowing the copper to be visible in design and in rendering everything looks fine as it should be.

With canvas however PCB looks normally how it should in design but when rendered, it shows up without coppers, silkscreen and soldermask. Now, Eagle used to push these as canvases and I had no problem in rendering or design with them.

Is this the way it is going to be treated in Fusion in feature.

Here are SS for comparison.

EDIT: I JUST SAW THAT I HAVE'NT UPDATED THE POSITION OF SOIC8 PACKAGE 😄

Hello @rbkyorem,

This looks normal to me. The CANVAS option doesn't allow for an exact render since it's just a skin on the geometry. If you need really nice renders then the best option is to use the default 3D PCB export which gives you the copper as physical geometry on the board.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

@jorge_garcia I'd have to disagree with that, because I've seen images on the general Fusion 360 Forum from folks prior to the release of Fusion 360 electronics where canvas rendering did actually show the canvas.

However, these posts were made because of rendering artifacts. I've been wondering why these PCB graphics are implemented as a canvas anyway, because the proper way to apply an image to geometry in Fusion 360 for rendering purposes is a decal, not a canvas.

@TrippyLighting , the canvas should be supported in rendering environment. Here is the result on my machine. Can you share me your graphics card information? What if you change the settings in the preference (e.g. switching between DX9 and DX11)?
