Managing files other than Fusion files

Hi

I'm an Eagle user from a long time ago.

Improvements on the product were many and very very good. Congratulations to developpers for the incredible increases on performance.

When Eagle migrated inside Fusion 360, I wondered it would be also a good improvement, but unfortunately I became a bit desapointed because of the way you manage information on cloud directories, forcing me to quit his use it and still using the offline version of Eagle.

I noticed that upgrades on offline version are sparse and rare, and you are pushing to all users to use Fusion360, indicating that in the future you will "close"  the offline version.

As I said, I tried to use it, and my opinion is that for design and 3D interfacing is better than the offline version.

So why I didn't change to Fusion yet?

Because of a simple detail that I hope you solve in the future: flexibiliy on cloud directories and not allowing to use files on local disks or "normal" cloud disks.

In my company we store all information on a cloud server, where I'm free to put any file I want.

Electronic design files are organized in a way that when I want to access any info related to a given project, not only pcb and 3d files, also datasheets, specs, spreadsheets, drawings on pdf or even from other formats, info send to pcb manufacurer and assembling manufacurer, etc. All these files are stored in the correct subdirectory, so all info of a givem project is condensed on a given folder with respective subfolders. On using fusion, I'm forced to have info on 2 sides, turning management of information far more complicated!

Please let me know if there's a way of this structure could migrate to Fusion information strucure or in alternative a way to still use my disk instead of Fusion cloud directories. I tried and it seems impossible, and without that is for me impossible, unfortunately, to migrate to Fusion

I suggest 2 solutions:

1. Allow the use of our "disk", quitting the imposition  to use  Fusion cloud.

2. Turning Fusion cloud into an ordinary virtual disk where we can put all the files we want, allowing me to have all info organized as it is on my disk.

The final objective is to have info organized as if I worked with Eagle standalone version.

I think that the difficulty I have is not only mine, so if you seek above objective, you will open to all users that, like me, are not using Fusion not because it's not a great Electronic Design program, but because doesn't allow to manage information as users want.

Please consider my suggestions to resolve difficulties that are not only mine and feel free to suggest a way that allows me to use Fusion for all my projects.

Thank you.

Please look at the Fusion 360 Desktop connector. Open fusion 360 data management client in your browser.
Under your profile image you can get the connected desktop installer.

This allows you to access all your data as a virtual windows folder.
