Implementation of polygon properties has changed

I saved a new copy of my design and made some changes.  However, some polygons have changed in an area of the board I haven't touched.  I made no changes to any polygon properties.

Why are the polygons no longer connecting?  Their properties are identical in previous and new versions.

Hi @matthewM5M9D ,

I hope you're doing well. Did you make any changes to your rules? It's really difficult to establish that the design hasn't changed enough for this to happen. Rules changes like copper clearance changes could cause thermals not to fill.

Review your design rules and see if that could explain the change in the thermal fill.

The properties of the 2, top copper polygons (GND & V_CMD) are unchanged.  No design rules changes were made.

Properties of new, NOT OK polygons

As you can see above, the polygon properties are the same for respective polygons in previous and new copy of design.

Design Rules

The design rules are identical.  There are no custom rules.

Just to reiterate, I saved a copy of an existing design and changed components in a different area of the board.  I made no changes to Design Rules or the properties of these 2 polygons (V_CMD, GND [both top copper polys]).  I only became aware of an issue when I checked design rules.

The only polygon I changed was a GND poly on the bottom layer.  I reduced the isolation property to ensure the ground pins of an IC connected to the poly (I posted about that here, https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-electronics-forum/only-some-gnd-pins-connect-to-gnd-polygon/td...

I'm missing something, probably obvious!

Hello @matthewM5M9D ,

I hope you're doing well. Would you be willing to share the files for review? That way we can get to the bottom of this.

I'll DM you my email.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi @matthewM5M9D ,

I hope you're doing well. I have opened your files in my install of the latest release of Fusion without modifying the files at all and the polygons are back to looking OK.

Your image shows the issue 3 board.  The problem appears on the issue 4 board.

On the issue 4 board there are 2 polygons (GND & V_CMD) which no longer make contact with 2 pins (as shown in earlier images).  For the issue 4 board I instead have routed 2 wires to make the connections.

Hi @matthewM5M9D ,

I hope you're doing well. So if you unfill and refill 3, you'll see that the polygon recalculates to not have the thermals. I know for this release we had to fix a major thermal bug and this seems to have the unintented consequence you are seeing on these boards. I'll create a ticket for this and share it with the developers.

Ok thank you.  Yes when I hide then show polygons in Iss 3, the thermals disappear and do not return, as you say.
