How to rename nets that were copied and pasted

I have a circuit that has some nets I named,  i.e.,  A_1 and B_1 .    When I copy this circuit and paste it,  it keeps the same names but I want them to be new net names,  say A_2 and B_2.    How do I paste these nets as if they are independent nets, or how can I disassociate the pasted nets from A_1 and B_1 ?     The only thing I can do is delete all connecting nets and then reconnect from scratch, then name them what I want.  That's a lot of work.    What to do?

Thanks

It's weird, yesterday I could not rename a copied net without it renaming everything. Today when choosing 'this segment' under the Name dialog, it works. Yesterday it wasn't working, gave me an error message. Very strange. At least its working now...

Now I know what I did-   I renamed the net to generic x$1, and it accepted that,  then I renamed it to the net name that I wanted.    So to break the association,  you first have to rename it like that.

Is there a better way?

Hi @yaqoubdesign ,

I hope you're doing well. Here's the trick to copying nets.

- If the nets have labels, then making a copy will preserve the net names.

- If there are no labels then the net names will auto-increment to be different from the original.

If you keep this in mind, that should make copying much easier.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
