"This computer's graphics driver or hardware may be limiting performance. Learn more here."

i have been using the same computer since 2017.

this message started showing up a few months ago.

what criterion does the software use to determine the graphics are insufficient?

learn more does not help me

"what criterion does the software use to determine the graphics are insufficient?"

The basic answer to this is "frame rate".  That is, the speed at while the graphics system can render the graphics scene in one position.  This is usually measured in "frames per second".  60 frame/sec is pretty good.  30 is tolerable.  Once the frame rate drops below some threshold, you will see this warning.  But, it is just a warning.  If the system is working OK for you, you can ignore it.  Or, turn off some graphics effects to improve it.

Remember, this is determined by a combination of the capabilities of the computer, but also the complexity of the model.  I suspect you will not get that warning with a model of just one cube.
