Fusion 360 crashes - no permission to open an local .lbr file

Hello, 

i have added an electronic component from my local computer tu the library. But now if i try to open the "add component" Tab, Fusion crashes immediately. Telling me it is not possible to open the local file.

"Operation not permitted"

Any idea?

Hi @pete.manzel ,

So sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Could you please go to the path mentioned in that error dialog, and try to move that local library out of that path, and try relaunch Fusion to add component again?

If it works, then move that library back to that path, and relaunch Fusion to add component again.

I am having this same issue with libraries I have downloaded to my laptop. Libraries imported from my ‘downloads’ folder, as well as libraries moved into my ‘documents’ folder, give an ‘operation not permitted’ error when trying to access them from the library manager.

I have given full disk access to fusion 360 in system preferences.

How to I give fusion permission to access these libraries, or where should they be moved to on my computer?

Hi @dnphipps,

I hope you're doing well. I would recommend actually uploading these libraries to Fusion 360, having a mix of locally stored libraries and cloud libraries just ends up creating a lot of confusion.

That would be my suggestion for now.
