How to adjust line spacing in text in sketches

Hello,

I recently switched to Fusion360 for a personal project which includes (cutting out) a 16x14 matrix of letters.

The way I wanted to realise this was by simply pasting the matrix as text in a text field (sketch workbench) and since I created the font used for this myself I've been able to make all letters the same size so they align nice vertically.

What I'm having problems with now is the horizontal spacing between the lines of text because I wasn't able to find any option to adjust the spacing between the individual lines (not each line individually but between the lines).

The only options I see when editing are "heigt" (adjusts the font size as well as the spacing) and "spacing" which only adjusts the spacing between the letters of each row but not the spacing of the rows themselves. (Please note that my programm is in another language so the exact names of the fields might vary.

Any help in regards of this problem (or maybe even better solutions to realise what I'm trying to achieve is highly appreciated.

PS: Since the for this problem relevant part of the project is in 2D I already recreated what I wanted in Inkscape but any import als dfx or svg leads to a lot of curvs being imported and therefore making working with the sheet quite slow.

Hi @raphael_kursawe While Fusion is capable of creating text, it doesn't have has much emphasis or control to create text as you would find in a graphics creation program like CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or Inkscape. There is an option to adjust the horizontal spacing between characters, but not the vertical space between lines.

If you wanted to control that in Fusion, you would need to create a new text box for each line and manually move or use dimensions between the text boxes to control the spacing.

Are you an educator or currently enrolled in a school? This forum was set up for those users. If you aren't a student, you will want to use the link below for future questions. No worries if you posted to the wrong forum. Just trying to help you get where you want to go for the next time if you aren't in education.

Hello,

thank you for your quick response.

I already imagined something like that but hat the hope I might just didn't find the right spot to search🙃

As mentioned at the bottom of my post I already achieved to create a 2D template of what I wanted using Inkscape but never loose hope ...

Maybe I'll try your suggested solution and create different text boxes and link their spacing to a variable for easier modification.

Anyhow I am currently enroled at a technical university so I hope this form was "the right one".

Yes, you are in the right place then. When you mentioned this was a personal project, that led me to believe you might be a Fusion user and not an educator/student. Sorry for the confusion, just wanted to make sure you get the help you need.
