Hi,

Please can you advise on the following, my Fusion 360 keeps on crashing if I use it on my Mac.
I have tried to re-install it at least 50x times but it is not working at all. Please can you kindly re-direct me to the relevant department.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that it keeps crashing!
Firstly, at what stage does it crash? And which version of Fusion are you using?

You can create a ticket to request assistance from support but before you do that let’s see if we can find a solution ourselves!

Hi @Gig23

Thanks for the going through the list of possible solutions. Can you verify that your Mac is up to date? This could be related to a Catalina Security Update 2021-008 which fixed a  WebGL and OpenGL issue.

Please keep us posted.

Hi Dan

I can confirmed my Mac is definitely UpToDate.
And it is a M1Max with 64GB ram top of the line spec, the hardware are more than sufficient.

I have to run the repair tool everyday and everytime before I use Fusion 360 which is very annoying, please advise

Hi @Gig23

Sorry you're still having this issue. To help determine what is goin on, can you try the following?

  1. Does Fusion run OK after running the repair?
  2. What version of Mac are you running and what is the chip set of your Mac?
  3. This could be a network setting. Can you check that the correct ports and domains are set for Fusion 360 . Here is a link to a document that covers the step....
  4. If you disconnect internet and launch Fusion, does Fusion launch?
  5. If you're still having the issue, can you please collect the Fusion 360 log files and send them to us?

While we figure this out. Can you try to run Fusion 360 from a browser by going to https://fusion.online.autodesk.com and sign in with your Autodesk Education ID (same email that you log into Fusion 360 with).

Thanks for your patience as we work through this issue.

Hi @Gig23

I'm not seeing the log files, they may be to big for the attachment.

Have you tried the first 4 steps I list above?

Thanks,

-Dan

Hi @Gig23

We suspect this issue could be related to the Application Support folder (AdSSO). Can you please go through the steps that are described in this article?

Please let me know if this solves the issue. Thanks for your patience as we figure this out.

Hi @Gig23 sorry you are running into this.

Can you resolve the problem by following the same steps that resolved this for you the last time? or is this a different issue?
