Educators/Students License approved, eligible but NOT reflected in software

Hey Guys,

I received an email that I am eligible to educators/students license. But it is not reflected in the software and says "Trial ends in 1 day". What do I do? Please help me.

Hi @ic37318

After confirming your eligibility, you need to request license(s) of the desired software. Please do the following.

  1. If needed, sign into the Autodesk Education site.
  2. On the Individual tab, on the Fusion 360 product card click "Get product".

  1. Click on "ACCESS".

  1. Launch Fusion 360 (if you're running Fusion from a browser, you can cancel the install).
  2. If the Education license does not appear on the top of Fusion's screen as shown in the following image, sign out and back into Fusion 360.

I downloaded the file and the product is still under trial, where to request for a license as I am not able to find it under https://manage.autodesk.com/products.

Hi @autosenmurai

What is your role at your school? It looks like your Autodesk Education profile may be set to IT Admin. Was this a mistake?

Here are the definitions of the Education profile roles.

  • Student: Can only acquire individual licenses.
  • Educator: Can acquire individual licenses and assign their students' licenses.
  • IT Admin: Can only acquire licenses for their school (no individual licenses).

Please keep us posted.

Hi @autosenmurai

I don't believe we show Education role, but I asked the engineering team to verify.

I can confirm that your Education Profile Role is set to IT Admin. If you need to run Fusion, you could create a second Education account with another email and set the role to Educator. Or ask an Educator at your school to assign you a license. See Option 2 in the Fusion 360 Educator Guide.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dan,

I have acquired another license using a different email address, it is giving me the same access I guess, IT admin. How to I request for Educator license? I do not want to create another email account for this.

Hi @jecislee3d

If you have multiple browsers open and signed in with your IT Admin account, start a new Incognito window and sign in with your new email address. Or close all browsers and sign out of Fusion, then sign in with your new account email.

If this doesn't work, please Private Message me the email address for the new account and I can verify the Role.

Thanks,

-Dan

Hi @Sschofield8EA2R

It looks like your eligibility is still pending with SheerID. Please try to resubmit your verification documents to SheerID. Please do the following.

Start an Incognito window in your Chrome browser.

    1. Start Google Chrome
    2. Press Ctrl + Shift + N keys together.
      Or
    3. On the top-right corner of the Chrome browser, click on the three vertical dots > New Incognito window.
      danbanach_0-1699294093174.png
    4. Go to Autodesk Education site and sign in with your Autodesk credentials
    5. If prompted for documentation, submit your current class schedule. This document needs to include your name, school name and current date / semester.

Please keep us posted.

Hi @Sschofield8EA2R

The support team reset your profile. Please do the following.

  1. Start a new Incognito window in Chrome.
  2. Go to Autodesk Education site and sign in with your Autodesk credentials.

  3. Click on “Confirm” and verify that your profile is correct.

  4. Then if needed click on “Try Again” when it appears.

  5. Upload documentation.

The documentation must contain the following three items:

  1. Name
    1. The name on your Autodesk Account, must match the name on the eligibility document(s).
      1. If needed, you can change your Autodesk Account name at https://profile.autodesk.com/personalinfo
      2. Change email address: https://profile.autodesk.com/security
  2. School name: Must match the school that was selected in the list.
  3. Current Date: Clearly shows enrollment in the current term.
    1. Student’s class schedule (usually contains the three pieces of information)
    2. If needed, you can fill in this Student template and submit this form
    3. School IDs don't usually contain a current date.
    4. Multiple documents can be uploaded in one operation.

Please let us know if this helps.
