How do I pinch-zoom on Mac trackpad (or even regular zoom using magnifier-with-"±") from the location of the POINTER? Not from the center of the window. Zooming from the pointer location will save me about 12,000 pan-pan-pan-pan scooches every time I zoom. How can I do this? I would most like to be able to do this while sketching, if that makes any difference.  (Zooming from the cursor/pointer location is pretty standard in other software I use, or is at the very least a preference that can be set, and is always incredibly convenient.) Thanks.

If you can afford to buy a Mac, then you can afford to buy yourself a mouse.

Preferably a 3-button one that allows you to pan as well. Although as you will have smart zoom with a mouse you won't need to do so much panning.

As Cad requires precise mouse/trackpad clicks you will find it a much more pleasurable experience to give inputs via a mouse.

Well, yes, thanks, but I have mice (mouses?). I’m faster, dead accurate, and happier on the trackpad, and have been forever. Yes, I’m an anomaly. (It helps that MacBook trackpads are brilliant.) F360 is really nice and accommodating, mostly. Really, the trackpad should zoom from the pointer — I think it’s simply a bug if it cannot do that. I really hope the Fusion 360’s excellent team will fix that small UI bug ASAP, if that’s what it is. In the meantime, is there a solution or workaround on the trackpad?

Have you considered a 3D Connexion Space Mouse? It's even faster.

I for 1 am waiting for when we just need to think the command, and don't need an input device 😀

ANSWER! On a Mac trackpad, to zoom from the cursor/pointer location (instead of from the center of the window): click-hold the trackpad, and 2-finger stroke down (zoom in) or up (zoom out). Yeah, a lot of fingers involved. I use my thumb for the click-hold. I stumbled on this today just by experimentation.

"Click-hold" means click down and do not let up.
