Yet another SVG import problem

Hi -

I'm trying to import the attached SVG (exported from Illustrator) and resize it, rotate it 90° and place it in a 3.25" square. I then want to create gcode that will carve (trace, I think is the proper term) only the outlines. This just seems way harder than it ought to be. I have successfully done this in a demo version of VCarve (with the original AI file), and there are no problems.

All suggestions are welcome.  Thanks.

I'm not sure from your description what is going wrong for you. Please let us know if you have a specific question about this workflow.

Here is a video showing the first half of your workflow, insert, rotate and scale the SVG.

For the remaining (CAM) part, I would suggest posting the question on the CAM forum.

Excellent. Thank you very much. I actually "solved" this for the immediate project by doing it in f-engrave, but that's not a long-term solution. Thanks for the tutorial.
