Working with Inserted components

I have inserted a cap screw and acorn nut into a assembly as a STP from McMaster. I want to join the two and copy/paste them together into the assembly. I can copy them seperately but not together. I need several for the assembly.

The best workflow to do this is before inserting the screw and nut to create (and activate) a new component.

Then insert the Screw and Nut (and washer ?) and join them.

The component now is an assembly and you can see that its icon has changed to idicate that.

You should now be able to copy/paste as many of these screw/nut assemblies as you need to.
