Working With Bent Sheet Metal

From my understanding, Fusion 360 cannot handle sheet metal. Please let me know if I'm incorrect on this. I'm wanting to cut shapes from sheet metal and then have them bent into a shape that has an angular bend. The manufacturer needs to do this with a die and therefore they need an accurate STEP file to represent the shape. I have attached a STEP file of what the piece would look like when flat cut and then bent into form.

If Fusion is in fact not the appropriate program then what software would be required?

Is there any one in the community who could lend me their software as a trial so that I may learn how to build these files?

Thank you

@Anonymous,

You are correct, we have not released sheet metal for Fusion 360.  We will be gathering customer feedback in the upcoming months on part creation with flanges, while the team developers the flattening capabilities that you mention.  If you need a immediate solution, I suggest getting a trial of Autodesk Inventor.

You can use it month by month, if needed

@Anonymous,

Can you please provide some more details about the workflow that you are inquiring about.  The sheet metal model is created using fusion and can be a mixed with sheet metal and non sheet metal components.

Cheers,
