Hi @Anonymous - do you have a screenshot of the initial survey prompt you're mentioning?  Want to make sure we're looking at the correct one.

How many times a week would you say you're getting the prompt?  Are you changing networks or computers or always on the same machine/network?

Thanks,

~Brian

@brianrepp

Same machine, same network and I see it at least 10 to 20 times a day.

If I open forums I see it, if I switch to cam forums I see it, if I switch to idea station I see it, if I close out my browser and return I see it......

@brianrepp

It might be because I use incognito mode in my browser. I haven't had time to test that though...

@PhilProcarioJr - ahh, that's good to know.  When/if you have time, please let me know if you still see it when in normal browsing mode.

@Anonymous - are you in incognito or a private browsing mode?

Hey @Anonymous - the team is working on improving the programming of when the survey pops up, but would you mind trying one thing?  After closer investigating of your screenshot, we noticed you have the ZenMate privacy plugin enabled, which may be causing some of the problems you're seeing, would you mind disabling or adding our site to your safe list to see if it stops the constant survey prompting?

Hi Brian, I cannot find the plugin you are talking about and it’s not listed in the Mozilla plugin list?

Hello Brian,

On macOS Sierra and Chrome and like Peter, I very rarely see the survey popup.

Best regards,

Ludo

Hi Brian,

that icon is from the inbuilt Mozilla security tracking system and it has been indicating this site is not secure for a week now?

I used to get the padlock icon when visiting this forum but that has stopped, on my Linux machine and my other Win10 machine I get the padlock with a yellow warning triangle.

The security of this site is a worry; I did raise the issue the other day but did not get a response from any employees.

All other sites are coming up with a padlock and a secure connection, this forum is the only one that is not?

While replying to you guess what popped up!!!!

Hey @Anonymous - I'm going to have someone from the Web team reach out to see if they can help troubleshoot your particular case re: survey prompts.

As for HTTP vs HTTPS, have you manually tried adding "HTTPS" to your URL line, which would put you into secure browsing mode?  I'm investigating why our notification email links are pointing users into non-secure HTTP.

Hi Brian,

if I go to my Autodesk account I get the secure connection and if I go to my Fusion home hub where my projects are stored I get a secure connection.

If I click the help menu while in Fusion 360 and choose Community Forum I still get the unsecured site, I tried adding the letters manually and the screen shot is what happened.

Hello there, @Cx2, my name is Stephen and I work with the Autodesk instance of the Qualtrics platform, which hosts most surveys you'll see on Autodesk websites. I've been reading your posts with great interest as we definitely want to prevent this type of survey behavior in the future.

May I ask a few clarifying questions to better understand the problem? First, when your browser goes into protected mode because it reads the forum as an unsafe site, what do you see under Menu --> Options --> Privacy? Is it set to "Remember History", "Never Remember History", or "use Custom Settings for History"?

Second, if it is "Use Custom Settings for History", is the box beside "Accept Cookies from Sites" checked? If it is checked, is the dropdown beside "Accept Third-Party Cookies" set to "Never"? (As seen here ).

My working hypothesis is that the security settings inside Firefox are preventing cookies from being stored by Qualtrics because it believes the site to be unsafe, disabling our mechanism preventing repeat display. Thanks!
