Will there ever be a memory for dialog boxe selections (like Extrude)?

Hello all!

My question (or suggestion) is for dialog boxes to remember your previous selections, especially in drop down boxes, and better yet, the ability to set a certain operation as default!

For example, in the Extrude dialog, I use "Two-Way" extrude MUCH more than "One-Way" and use "New Body" MUCH more than "Join" or "Cut". If I could set a default, or even better, if it remembered my last selection, it would make my life (and I am sure many others) much better.

Is this feature in process? Considered?

Thanks!

I undestand your workflow. This is a good suggestion. One-way / Two-way option can be remembered easily but for Join/Cut we try to check and find best fit considering all components and bodies around. I agree, there might be cases where User expect New body to be set/remembered option.

This can be a good cadidate for idea station.

Thank you!

I would like to add that the sketch pattern tool would be easier if it either remembered the last type choice, extents or spacing, or have a way to select the default method.  I almost never need to patteren sketches by extents.

Thanks,

Hello @Anonymous,

I am the opposite - I almost always use extents!

I agree, if the pattern dialog could remember our last choice, or set a default that would be amazing as well.

If you look at the thread dialog, there is a check box to remember the thread. This is because setting up a thread over and over for a few dozen holes is tedious.

What would you think about a "remember" check box for the commands you mentioned?

If so, please comment here, and/or put up an Idea Station post. You can cross reference this post and that one for maximum votes!

Thanks,

I would LOVE a "remember" checkbox. That sounds perfect @Phil.E!
