Why does my sketch reposition when mid-point-constraining construction lines to the origin?

Dear forum,

I am trying to follow the third official tutorial for Fusion, "Sketch Constraints", at minute 9:03.

In it, the author draws two construction lines through the sketch of a rectangle. He mid-point-constrains both lines. As a last step, he mid-point-constrains the two lines with the origin.
In these two steps, his rectangle is repositioned.

I have attached a video of me doing the same process. Sometimes, the rectangle is repositioned, sometimes it is not. The constraints between rectangle and construction lines seem the same, no matter the order of operation.  Also note that there is no coincident constraining between construction lines and rectangle (the construction lines run through the sketch).

Why do the construction lines being centered lead to the sketch being repositioned?

Thank you for any help.
Best regards

Hi,

This happens when perpendicular contraints to the rectangle are automatically created when the construction lines are created.

If these are removed, there is no shift in position.

So I will have to delete the vertical / horizontal constraints manually and replace them with perpendicular constraints.

No!

The selected perpendicular constraints create a relationship to the rectangle and change its position if, for example, a construction line is bound to the origin.
How to do it:  Remove perpendicular constraints and add vertical/horizontal constraints to the construction lines if necessary.
