why did autodesk kill the old navigation ?

Let me start off with the fact that i use a surface pro 2 and love the fact that i can use my fingers to pan, rotate and zoom "wtf" why was this navigation style taken in the newest upgrade? like i actually have no reasons to update a software that works fine just the way it is, it seems like i was forced to trade a already working program for some features i have no use for and to top it off now is harder for me to even use the update " com'on now guys"

Yes i know i can just use a dam mouse like most ppl but the fact is that again im being forced to learn again the new ways or just buy a mouse with that 3rd button just so i can pan by holding the shift button like come on why not just let us setup our own layouts and or map our own keys why does it have to be this or that?

as in now i had to go into pref and switch to ATLAS navigation style just so i can move with some sort of ease, and did i really just seen the solid works nav style in Auto-cad pref? like if im gonna learn solid works i might as well change the program on my next renewal.

is their a way i can just switch back to the most recent oldate rather then be stuck with this unfriendly update?

Hi @Anonymous - not sure if you already saw some of the other forum threads on this, but due to a last minute bug that was caught before the update, touch/gestures were disabled in situations that would have otherwise resulted in a crash.

We're working on the fix and hope to have it out in the next update so you can return to your normal inputs.  Thanks for the patience.
