Where did filet in sketch mode go?

I'm trying to filet two lines in sketch mode. I opened a new sketch, drew a rectangle and went to filet the corners.

This is what I see:

What happened to the filet-in-sketch-mode tool described in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htzpDofl3N4

I tried the modify->filet command but it kept either ignoring the command or rotating my view and then ignoring my filet command.  It was acting as if it would only accept face filets.

This morning, after a reboot, it worked as expected.  I'm on a new Mac Mini so perhaps it was a transient issue.

Thanks for the reply.

It just happened again. Middle of a sketch, try to filet and this time the two lines I'm attempting to filet disappear and the filet dialog pops up.  Since the lines I want to filet aren't visible, the dialog can't operate on them.

I loaded screencast to document the issue and when I came back to the sketch, filet worked as expected.

These issues are probably related to Rosetta on the Mac M1 processor.

Hi,

When it comes to M 1, special conditions may apply.
Some contributions provide initial information on this.

@michael8WNBX - it's important to understand that there are two different Fillet commands.  A solid/surface Fillet:

located under the Modify menu on the Solid or Surface tab of the menu.

The second is the Sketch Fillet command:

The Sketch Fillet command is available when you are actively editing a sketch.  The reason I suspect you got them mixed up is this:  "or rotating my view and then ignoring my filet command.  It was acting as if it would only accept face filets."  This sounds like you executed the Solid/Surface Fillet command while in Sketch mode.  This will take you out of Sketch mode (rotating the view), and filter for Edge or Face selections.

Thanks for your input. However, when the sketch rolled over instead of
fileting, my immediate thought was that I was not in sketch mode. I
cancelled the filet command and the sketch tools re-appeared confirming
that I was in sketch mode.

The issue went away after I restarted and has not reappeared since.

That is the exact behavior you'd see if you used the solid Fillet command from within sketch mode - starting the solid Fillet will exit from sketch, rotate the view, and start the Fillet command.  If you cancel, it will take you back into sketch mode.  See the screencast below.
