What would be the easiest/correct way to close this body?

Hi!

First of all, what would be the best way to convert the mesh to a body for manufacturing purposes?

Secondly, what is the correct way and could someone show me how to close the open part of the model? Added a pic to understand what I mean and I added my file below!

How to close this part? How to close this part?

What is the difference between the mesh and the surface body in there? Closing up the surface body is pretty simple. closing up the mesh is a different story.

No difference, it's the same thing, I'm just wondering is there an easier/cleaner way to convert a mesh to brep, other than going through the hassle of making it a t-spline and then to brep.

Other than that how do I close the body, because when I try to add a patch to the body it just closes in a curve, but that's not what I'm looking for, could you help with this?

Here it closes in a curve. Here it closes in a curve.

You need to add a couple of lines (3D) and make separate patches to hook it all together.

Check it...

I added two sketches (could have been one). There is a vertical line on each side at the end and then the center "T" shape gets blocked off (because of a curvature problem otherwise).

This makes for some questionable surface curvature, for sure, but it is watertight.
