Hi there,

When will the same weldments functionality be in fusion 360 as what is within Inventor?

Weldments take many forms.

Frames and tanks are commonly found examples of weldments, but you probably can reach out by hand wherever you are sitting and touch a weldment.

Typically with a weldment there may be:

1. A Preparation step, example grinding an edge.

2. The placement of various weld beads themselves. (see image)

2b. The placement of weld symbols to annotate the weld specifications.

3. Post-weld Machining, example to create a flat clamping face after welding splatter and warping.

Right, and that's why I would guess we won't have that in Fusion 30 within the next 5 years. Fine by me!

IMHO for this sort of application Fusion 360 isn't the right tool.
