Very slow performance in assemblies

Hey guys, please help.

I have a very decent system setup:

i7 8550U CPU 1.8GHz 2.00GHz

8GB Ram

AMD Radeon 500 series 2048MB GDDR5

64 bit WIndows 10

Despite this I am still struggling with relatively basic assembly of 20 parts. When I start inserting the screws (no 3d theads) it just gets slower and slower until it is unbearable to work with.

I have tried changing the display settings etc, but I'm just getting nowhere.

Please if you can help me.

Thanks,

Hamish

Sounds like your design contains linked components and you either have to use the WEB-UI or to share a link.

Ok so one of the Fusion support members has called me and we identified the problem. Smiley Very Happy

I had "enable all contact sets" on without my knowing. Basically brought the whole assembly to its knees.

Easy fix - problem solved.

Cheeers!
