User parameters in a leader note from previous schema will not show in a drawing

Recent update of Fusion 360 will not support  leader notes with user parameters of models saved from last version of Fusion 360.

I can create a new part, current version, with user parameters where leader note(s) will support user parameters  however when I open a file created last week with the older install it fails to show user parameters in the leader note dialog.

I have done considerable testing and dialog with @jhackney  and I have concluded that this may not be a wide spread bug but may be limited to my installation or currupt files.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Can this issue be escalated to The Fusion team?

Is there a way to completely re-build an older file with the current install?

Here is a simple model and screen shots of the leader note dialog box and a text box dialog. All parameters are available in the text box feature and only one user parameter is available in the leader note. Note the parameter (circle_diam), available in the leader note, is a parameter created on the fly in a sketch.

As you may recall I have had other issues (still unresolved) with leader notes showing”—“ or blank pin the note
Thank you,
Alan

Your model did not make it to your post nor did any screen capture.  Please try again.

I add the files here. I responded with the files in the email from @liang_chen. I guess they didn't populate here in the forum.

Thanks for sharing the dataset.

Actually, this is the behavior about where these parameters come from. There are two kinds of paramters in the 3D design. One is from the top assembly (Cube), and the other is from the component (Component1).  In text command, user can set the sourse, then all parameters can be available. In leader note command, the parameters are only from the attached component, showing as attached video.  Hope it anwsers your question.

All these paramaters are inserted as theirs value. For the issue of showing '-' or blank pin, may I know if there is a dataset to reproduce it. Thanks

I'm disappointed in your answer and I need to vent my concerns regarding Autodesk Fusion as an Engineering platform. Im an engineer of 40 years, currently designing tooling for a very large press. It's important in my workflow to document properties and parameters that change with material and geometry of my tooling. Through this and other recent frustrations using Fusion 360,  I am constantly reminded its purpose is not for serious engineering and I should spend more money on Inventor or Solid Works.   I get excited to see new features being added, however the implimentation of these features is always lacking something that doesn't meet common users expectations. Like putting text into a leader note, would it be that hard to insert user parameters like you can in a text box? Another simple requirement is editing parameters, a basic requirement is to allow parameters to be moved up and down in the parameter file to help organize them. This is a feature that should have been included at the beginning of Fusion parameters. These frustrations may seem petty, but the time I've spent on work arounds, including learning your API and writing python code to meet my workflow and my clients requirements has meant a loss of productive time and cash flow. How do I get my voice to be heard, Im sure I'm not the only user with this concern.

Hi @alan_wolf ,

Thanks for sharing the feedback and concern. We respect every user feedback, and like to hear different opinions, which are helpful for use to improve the product and make it meet user requirement closely.

For the behaviors of text and leader text, the design was from users research too. I have forwarded your feedback to team, and it would be planned by priority if there are many similar requirments.

  1. Text: User can select the sourse, and get the properties from the sourse
  2. Leader Text: The properties are only from the attached component
