Usability Help, chain Selection missing on design command "offset face"

Dear Community

I have come across a bug, where the design command "offset face" is not working as expected (and as implemented in other less important features)
-- in my instance I CANNOT find the chain select option on "offset face"
on "offset" however it is present. You can imagine the hassle it creates when engineering and developing if "offeset face" (very common command) does not behave like offset (less common)

how can I switch this option/visibility on ?

thanks

You are not clear.  You say you cannot find it although it is present.  On my application, all I do is left click in the "Chain Selection" selection box at anytime.  Are you saying you cannot select this check box?

Hi and thanks for taking a closer look into this:

To paraphrase:

What I mean is on the "offset face" feature (heavy use feature in any CAD) there is no "chain selection" and since it's missing it takes many unnecessary mouse-clicks to achieve basic functionality. What is a bit disturbing: the "chain selection" option exists in other features, why is it suppressed in the most util ones ? What possible benefit could be gained from hiding it, see screenshot, it would take me literally 6 mousclicks to offset this face, this cannot be right.

I see you changed commands since your first post.  The Offset Face command has never had a Chain Face option not to say if may benefit from one.  One method you can use to select multiple faces fast is to use the Paint Selection method.  Press "3" on your keyboard and hold down the left mouse button and pass over the faces you want to offset.

Hello Jack, thanks for the tip if I want to use chain selection right away before running a featurenot paint. How do I do that?

please read my initial post. I was always referring to offset face, lacking the feature and offset offering it, even though offset is order of magnitude let’s frequent used then offset face because offset face actually modifies apart and when you wanna get work done, you need to modify parts.

I don’t understand why the chain selection option is not switched on an offset face
