Updating Fusion 360 to latest version

Havingupdatedtothe latest version Fusion Ultimate I have now lost all my previous designs,How do I recover them .

are you able to open projects list using drop down in the upper left corner of the application?

I have restarted fusion and computer and clicked on the 1 at the upper right hand of the screen.  Says update failed.
