unable to edit offset dimension

I am using a mac and, after offsetting a portion of my sketch I am unable to change the offset with the dimension selection. I am able to change circles and lines. There is no error coming up. The only way to reset the offset is to delete the offset and repeat it with the different value.

Thank you for the posting. 

I understand that you want to modify offset using the other way. 

but I think it is just sketch or object and it is the same with AutoCAD. 

May I know what you expect? and If I missed something, please let me know.

I wanted to change an offset dimension that was part of a project in a 3D
printing class on Instructables. In the video the teacher uses what I
thought was the dimension selection in sketch to do that. When I tried that
I didn't get the dimension box in which I could type in a new dimension for
the offset. I am using a late 2011 17" MacBook Pro with OS 10.12.

unfortunately,  I tried it on my mac. but I couldn't reproduce it.

You won't be able to see the all dimension box? or just you can't see offset dimension box? or you can's see the dimension text??? 

Could you try "Reset to Default layout" ? 

One more thing, are you looking for this option???
