UAV Wing Tip and Mould Design

I am currently designing a wing tip mold for composite fabrication. However, when modeling the wing tip along with the wing, the joining portion is not smooth. I have attached the designed model for reference. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Screenshot 2024-11-11 211600.pngScreenshot 2024-11-11 211739.png

In the loft dialogue, instead of selecting a sketch profile as Profile2, select a surface edge.
Then you'll get the option to loft this tangentially (G1) to the surface the edge belongs to.

add a horizontal constraint to your first sketch here-

and then in loft3 (first loft in the timeline) instead of selecting the sketch for profile2, turn the sketch off and select the edge from the extrude.  this will allow you to set a tangent condition-

Use the surface to loft.

And set it to tangent

as an aside, one would think that if you were to use a sketch as the profile, and set the condition to "direction"-

that you would get the same result as using tangent on the surface edge.  however, the direction condition only works when no rails are used.  if you use a rail, the setting is ignored, but fusion doesn't tell you it's being ignored.  I had a conversation with AD when this functionality was first introduced, and the response was that the programmers figured it wouldn't be needed/wanted if rails were being used, which seems like a nonsensical reply to me.

Thank you very much for your time. This method is working for me. I had overlooked that sketch, but I have now corrected it.

I wasn't aware of this and have been experimenting with the direction command. Thank you for the very helpful insights.
