Drawing Feature to "Trim" Section View

I had this scenario come up last week, and couldn't come up with a solution: The part is a uniform cross section, so the only useful view is a section view. I'd like to be able to use a scale that shows the cross section clearly on an A size sheet, but due to the parts diameter, the leader lines extend through the left of the page. (See attachment). Is there any way to cut those off?

Could you not create a section view that fits fully on the drawing sheet and then a detail view from the section to show the wall make up? It's what I do if I need to show the component but the scale required makes fine dimensioning tricky. Just a thought...

I think inserting a white image over the off sheet lines is the only workaround I can think of.

I'll log this as a feature request.

That technically is a workaround, but not a solution. It is a hassle because it requires the user to manually dimension all relevant features with leaders notes. (The dimension tools don't recognize features in section views)

@rdockerySX4F9 You should be able to dimension section views as you would any view or sketch in drawings.

Hi @rdockerySX4F9

The good news, is that we're currently developing cropped views, which will give you the result that you're looking for.

For right now, there is a pretty decent workflow that will get you a decent looking drawing, using a break view, take a look here: https://youtu.be/j87TVhclW80

I had meant to say that "The dimension tools don't recognize features in section views detail views."

I may be missing something but I have to say that I haven't found that to be the case at all. As far as I'm aware section views and detail views of section views dimension just the same as regular views...
