TTF font not showing up

I have desert dog font installed on my system, it's been there for years but it will not show in Fusion. Can you please help me get this figured out? It is already a .ttf

I have searched other font posts but nothing is working, yes I have restarted everything several times.

Firstly try activating the text command from menu 

Once you activated the text commands window, you will see three options on the bottom right corner of your screen : txt, py and js. Please select the "txt" option if it's not ticked, then run the command "Sketch.TextWritingSystem /any" again.

Yes, you have to do it every time.

And it hardly takes few seconds to do the process, so that it is not a major concern to be worried about.
