Hi,

Welcome to the forum!  If you want to edit the contents of the title block, you can double click on the title block to edit.  However, currently you cannot change the field names in the title block, shown below:

Custom title blocks is on our list of high priority projects to complete.  Let me know if you need further help.

Thank you,

If you are really ambitious, you can:
Save as DWG
use Autodesk DWG TrueView and convert to an older format.
open in something like Draftsight, where in my case I've recreated our drawing format using all the same "attributes" and block names as the Fusion format.
I insert our title block, overwriting the existing one and run ATTSYNC.

It's a hassle but, I've gotten the process down to a couple minutes of post processing.

@kris_berg Thank you, I hope it is released as soon as possible. One important thing: What is the field for scale?

Hi @kevinmamaqi,

Thank you for the reply.  I am not completely sure I understand your question.  The scale field is use to denote the drawing scale (ie. 1:4 1/4 inch on the drawing = 1 inch).  To modify it, double click on the title block and enter a value.  If I misunderstood your question, let me know and I will try and answer it.

Hi @kevinmamaqi,

Thanks.  Sorry I misunderstood the question.   It looks like scale is only available in a ASME drawing, not ISO.  While I am a developer on drawings, I am not an expert on the standards.  Let me ask our expert why that is.

Thank you,

Kris Berg

Hi Kevin,

Although adding scale to the titleblock is a requirement of the ASME drafting standard, it is not a requirement of the ISO drafting standard. The ISO 7400 drafting standard suggests that the scale be presented outside the titleblock when required. Based on this, the default ISO titleblock in Fusion Drawings does not include a scale field.

Hope this helps explain why its not included.

Thanks,

Andrew

I'm not sure, but in my opinion it doesn't make anysense.

The scale usually is a must in every technical drawing (construction, product parts, mechanical, and so on...). In addition, ISO 7400 is for:

Specifies the electrical characteristics with which a.c. flasher units are required to comply when submitted for type-testing. Applies to flashers intended for use with 6 V or 12 V systems. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (1984).

Hi Kevin,

Sorry for the mix up, that should have been ISO 7200 Technical product documentation — Data fields in title blocks and document headers.

Fusion Drawings also adheres to where applicable ISO 128 for lines, views, sections and cuts, ISO 129 for dimensions and tolerances, ISO 5457 for sheet sizes and layouts, ISO 7200 for titleblocks, ISO 7573 for parts lists, ISO 1101 and 5459 for GD&T, ISO 1302 for surface texture (coming soon), and ISO 2553 and 4063 for welding (coming later this year).

At this stage, we haven't listed these details anywhere. Should we included these details somewhere in the product or help?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for the clarification. Regarding the details, I think so, you already have the information and should be simple to include it in the tutorial http://fusion360.autodesk.com/learning/learning.html?guid=GUID-5B4323C7-B040-4F06-B2DE-08511A3C9B48. In addition, if is possible, would be ok to have information regarding the title block future updates and/or features.

Yes, please, make the title block editable/customizable/able to add graphic or company logo! This is a must!

I would love to see the option to edit the title block in Fusion 360 as well.   Most of my drawings  are done on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and it is so frustrating when the title block is  SO LARGE  and takes up valuable space.   Why did the designers design the title block so large?  In my 35 years in working with drawings  i have never had a drawing come in with such a huge title block, What were they thinking?

They've used the same title block for all sheet sizes. @sbaldridge66 Could you use a bigger sheet then scale when you print the PDF.
