This Must Be A Bug, Cause It SURE Ain't a Feature...

Today my month-old new computer started complaining about being completely out of free disk space!  After much searching, I discovered there was a single file that had grown to almost 90GBytes!  That file was:

C:\Users\RayL\AppData\Local\Autodesk\autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log

WTF???

Regards,

Ray L.

Hi Ray,

I'm pretty sure it's a bug in the system yeah. I believe they're going to release an update which fixes it on september the 6th? You'll just have to wait till then or you can check this earlier post

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/quot-autodesk-webdeploy-streamer-log-quot-grows-to...

Hope that helps a bit,

Arran

I hope they get it fixed fast.  If the file was only 5Gb I wouldn't care that much, but it grew b y 10s of Gbytes just in the last 24 hours!

2 more weeks and hopefully they reduce the file size to always be under 5 GB because it must be awful especially if you're using an SSD.

Hope everything is sorted for you Ray!

Thanks,

Arran

Hi @Anonymous, @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! It looks like this behavior should be fixed for the September update to Fusion. In the meantime, you can delete the installation streamer file (autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log) to clear up space. Be sure to locally archive any designs open in Fusion and shut Fusion down before deleting the log file to minimize the risk of losing any work!

Hopefully this helps - please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks.  I already deleted the file as soon as I found it.

Is it going to come back?  I'm worried this will happen again before the update comes...

Ray L.
