Tapered opening for USB connector

I recently learned how to use Fusion 360 but would like to add a feature to my design which is currently beyond my knowledge.  Attached is a capture from a design I saw which has a tapered opening in a case for a USB connection.  Anyone know how or what workflow I need to use in order to incorporate this into my design?

obviously lots of workflows that will depend on your situation, but give this a try-

Your sample workflow was very helpful thanks.  I do have one follow up question...

In your workflow, you extruded from the surface outward.  If I want to make a cut in the wall of a enclosure, do I extrude from the outside surface (using the outer box as staring reference) to the inside surface (using the inside box)?

I'm not quite following your question.

I will say that the majority of the time I only put sketches on the origin planes, and use the various settings in the extrude dialog to perform the extrudes/cuts.  I don't typically put sketches on the faces of things or on extra construction planes if those planes/faces  are orthographic to one of the origin planes.

Can you illustrate your question?
