Assigning the "Look At" command to a Space Mouse button?

I find myself using the Look At command a lot in sketch mode and I'm also using a 3dconnexion Space Mouse. I'd like to assign that command/action to one of the two buttons on the space mouse but I couldn't figure out a way to do it, as that command is not in the default set offered by the Space Mouse driver.

Is there a way to fire custom actions/scripts that would let me accomplish this?

Hello Marc-

At this time, there isn't a "shortcut key" or "key combo" for the view-type stuff (like Look At, Pan, Orbit, etc).  So, there isn't anything for the 3DConnexion button to point to.

However, I do know it is on the roadmap, so hopefully, in the near future, you will be able to do this.

I'm glad to hear this is at least on the timeline. I'd like this very much as well.

I'm not sure which Look At the OP is referring to, but there's one that's normally at the bottom of the screen and another in the Sketch palette. They are different commands, both called Look At. The Sketch version needs no argument, while the global one needs you to select something to look at.

It would be nice to be able to assign keys to either or both of these variants. My main interest is in the Sketch version, though.

The "Look at" in Sketch mode is also the one I am interested in.

That's crazy it's still not an option. It's a must-have accessibility feature.
I have very bad tendinitus and using fusion is an absolute pain, the amount of clicking relative to other softwares is gigantic. At the end of the day I can know what software I used the most, based of my pain only.
That's bad.
