T-Spline transparency issue

Hello,

Does someone know how to control the transparency of others bodies when you create a new T-Spline body (see image in attachment).

I need to see where my new body intersect the other one to work but I can't.

Any idea?

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! It looks like you would like to edit the opacity of a brep body while in the Sculpt workspace to identify an intersection point.

Unfortunately, you cannot edit the opacity of the brep body while in the Sculpt workspace because the brep body will not be shown in the browser. This option has been requested on the Fusion 360 Ideastation - please give it a vote if you'd like to see it included in Fusion!

One potential workaround you could use might be to convert the face at which the intersection occurs into a t-spline face. You could then edit the opacity, check the intersection, and simply delete or hide the face later. This isn't the best workaround, but it may allow you to see what you need to see. I have shown how I would do this in the screencast below:

I'm not sure how important parametrics and the timeline are to you but if you turn off history you will get exactly what your wanting here. Just keep in mind if you turn off history it's gone.

I exclusively use DM for all my T-Spline work and what you have encountered here is one of the main reasons for that.

Thank you Paul!

This workaround is useful but it works very well with a simple form and not so well with an organic form...

I'll give a vote for this option.

Hi Phil,

Actually history is quite useful for me because I have multiple operations on top of my T-Spline (triming, thickening...) so if I break the history I have to redo all this stuff witch is very time consuming. But thank you for the tip, I'll do a research on DM feature because I do not exactly know what it is.
