We need to be able to turn the shading on for other bodies when using tsplines. Right now, in Sculpt Mode, all the other bodies are greyed out and the surface detail isn't visible.
If I'm using a complex form to intersect another body, I need to see where that intersection is going to happen.
For example if I use a squashed sphere and intersect a plane the result will be an ellipse. Where that ellipse is going to happen on that plane is critical to designing something.
Now if I use something more complicated, then the outline of that intersection becomes even more important. If there are a few things, then I need to be able to control their relationships to the form and to each other. I can't do that if I can't see them.
Even in clay you build to theoretical edges- that means you adjust the surfaces until the resulting intersection is the right shape. Then you work the fillets until the form is correct.
This is also a common workflow in any surfacing package like Alias, Icem or Rhino.
