Surface from compound (two) curves

How do you create a surface from compound curves?

I'm trying to model the heel of a stiletto type shoe. Initially it seems simple, but the ground plane and top curves are not in parallel planes, so it seems Revolve, then Draft are not options. I've spent most of the day trying various settings for Sweep, Loft, and Patch tools.  This seems like something that could be done in a few minutes in Rhino.

Can Fusion360 model a surface from compound (two) curves in non-pafallel planes, or am I missing something?

I've read these related threads and/or watched the following tutorials (plus many others):

Gooday,

i only found one one thing preventing your loft.  I was able to create a solid loft of the half heel, and didn't venture any further.

the thing most obvious was the the top profile sketch 3, was not closed - no orange shading.

Turn sketch 2 off.

I drew the missing line, was able to loft with the rest of your profiles immediately.  Used the three rails and they worked too.

Hope that will keep you going.

Browny.

Browny,

This worked!  Thank-you!   I was trying to loft the way Michal shows in his webcast, selecting just the curve, instead of the closed region.  However, I was probably trying so without deselecting "chain selection".   After drawing the missing line, the region is enclosed and lofting is easy.

Lesson learned:  In lofting with "Chain Selection" selected, make sure the loft profiles are enclosed (orange region).

Thanks again!

Michal,

Thank-you for the screencast!  This worked for me.  It actually worked slightly better than Browny's solution as the other sides of the heel remained flat (non distorted).  I had tried your method many times, redrawing the whole thing, and even flipping the choice of rails and profiles.  I believe my problem was I was failing to deselect the "chain selection".  After deselecting, it works great!   I thought it should be a simple as you demonstrated.

Lesson learned:  If only trying to loft a curve profile (not a region), be sure to deselect "Chain Selection".

Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback,

i realise i didn't quite type what I wanted to say in the first reply,

The solid loft came out flat, as you would be looking for, for me, but I turned Sketch 2 back on for the rail selections in the solid loft, (2 profiles, 3 rails)

the best thing for me with the loft command is the previews, at each selection it will up date as you go, letting us know when there may be an unexpected result before committing.

The other thing was - not sure how to send the file back to you, after getting it here and working on it, will chase that up.

Pleased you are underway....
