Recently I've started to get an error message if I leave an Untitled file unsaved for a while.

The steps to reproduce this are to create a new design and then just let Fusion 360 sit idle for some time, is that right?

Do you have Automatic versions enabled in the Preferences of Fusion 360? What versioning time interval do you have set? I'm in the process of doing some testing right now.

I note there have been some enhancement made recently. You can now get to the recovery documents by selecting the recover documents command.

I'll let you know how the testing goes.

Thanks,

So far, I haven't had much luck. Could you share a screenshot of your preferences? Any other guidance you can provide would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance!

I've gotten this message too before. I'll keep an eye out under what conditions it tends to happen and report back.

this is how it happens for me and it has happened when I have been useing it. I have Automatic versions set to 20 mins, (or it will just crash like it just has I will do a bug report on this)

Here's a screen grab. There were no file waiting to be recovered and I don't use Automatic versioning. I've only been seeing the error for the past 3/4 weeks and it's always with an untitled document left open.

Okay, I finally got it! Thank everyone!

This is more of a save reminder. I'm not sure it's technically a bug... With that said, I'm happy to take your feedback to the development team. What do you think it should say?

Thanks,

It makes sense now you've explained it, Fusion is trying to save a recovery file for an unnamed document. Maybe the first part should say something like Fusion can't save recovery files for unnamed documents and the second part of the warning should say "To avoid data loss, we recommend you save Untitled now."

I thought this was only happening with unnamed documents but I just got the error on a file that has been saved and is at v7. Maybe you could give a warning the file has not been save for X number of minuets or something but I don't see why it's warning about a recovery file.
