I am trying to print my product but I can't get it to STL. I have tried patch and stitch but they won't work. Please help. See attached.

Can you Export and attach your *.f3d file here?

@colinbeaton I can't tell for sure from your sketch just what you are trying to achieve, sorry.

In my mind the work flow would start with a 2d drawing of a star and then you would extract it into a 3d model. Then from there you could save the 3d model into a printable file.

Maybe if you post a image of what you are trying to draw I could get a better idea of what you are trying to achieve.

Or maybe someone with far more experiance then I such as @TheCADWhisperer can figure it out from here.

It's a bit hard to know exactly what you want but I've made a screencast to show how you can build patches in the Patch workspace then join into a solid, also demonstrates how to use a pattern so you don't need to make all the parts from patches. When you have all the parts use Combine on the Modify menu in the Model workspace.

 I've attached the file you can step through the timeline to see what I've done.

I can't get it to STL, can someone just do it? I'll pass on the karma.

Before I do this part - is this a class assignment?

Do you have  link to an image similar to your Design Intent?

It is not for school, I'll be going back after XMAS. All it is is the equations:

z1=sqrt2+1-[sqrt2+1]x

z2=1+x

z3=1-x

z4=2

We do this is zx as above, then replace x with y and attach the points accordingly, even the z4=2 so it's not just flat lines.

I need it in STL bro.

I will pass on the larma by buying a happy person coffee(if you're looking for a gf, go for the happy person and buy them coffee I suggest, hehe).
