Stand alone (non-modal) Parameters Window

I use parameters a lot and I get frustrated when designing and forget a parameter name or value. My workflow is interrupted any time I need to refer to something in the parameters window. It would be very helpful to have a stand alone (non-modal) parameters window. I can open the window and place it on a different screen and dynamically refer to it while designing.

Hi @robertshomeemail,

Make sense.
But for the time being name the parameters with starting with what makes sense to the design.

Box_Width
Box_Height
Box_Wall_Thickness

By typing in box all parameters that are related to box will show up.

But indeed, it's a nice idea to make a parameter box pinned where you directly can edit and see the parameters.

Hi and thanks,

I want to be able to visually inspect the bodies while creating parameters,
renaming parameters, and updating parameter values. This would help me
immensely while creating parametric models. As is, I am forced to open and
close the Parameters window A LOT.

Coming from FreeCAD, their spreadsheet and the ability to tile windows is
something I would like to see in Fusion 360. IMHO, a non-modal Parameters
window would actually provide a superior feature.

Would this free add-in work for you?

At first glance it seems an ok work-around. However I would prefer to remain inside the Fusion environment if at all possible.

I would like the parameters window to be NON-MODAL (remain open) as well. Perhaps if the issue were auto-updating parameters they could add an Apply button (next to the OK button as per professional windows design practices.)
