split body - no intersection between target(s) and split tool

Hi,

I am trying to split a body from a sketch (3d geometry from a face of the body).

When I try to split, it gives me the error message. I know it is related to the "small" overlap in the last screenshot, because if I move the whole body down and split it, it works. Other option would be to change the path of the sketch (which is created from geometry), but I dont know how. Could you please help me out?

can you attach the file, it's a little hard to see what your doing.  Are you using a 3d sketch there?

Hi,

ok, I found a way, although I don't know if it is a good one 😉

I broke the lines of the projected profile and then extended it with further sketch lines... seems dirty to me, but it works.
