Is it possible to split a single body to multiple child bodies based on the material assigned to them?

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you be clearer about what you are trying to do here?  I am guessing here that perhaps you have assigned an Appearance to faces on a single body, and then would like to be able to split the body into two based on those face appearances?  If so, then the answer is no, there is no way to do that today.  Instead, it would be better to split the body first, then assign Appearances at the body level rather than the face level.

If you can share your model here, someone will be willing to help provide more input.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff - I had a feeling you might say that! The end goal is to work with the model in C4D so it looks like it might just be easier to split everything there. Lots of manual work ahead..
