Hi everyone.

I am trying to recreate a 3d print of a sculpture I like. I do not know if it is possible with 360 so I hope you can all point me in the right direction as I am a novice at this. Thank you.Spirograph SculptureSpirograph Sculpture

That shouldn't be too hard.  Here's one crude way to demonstrate the technique.  It's basically a circular pattern of a helix.  I used a coil with a triangular section.  It would be better to use the coil as the sweep path for a custom profile.

Changing the axis position of the circular pattern and the revolutions of the helix can create an infinite number of models.

This does not look helical to me.

@dalepack would you have other images of this object ?

Here's my WIP so far in T-splines:

I would also need another view of the object but from 2d I went for Patch Loft to find the shape, and obviously the depth is off.

Might help...

Here's one with a different axis and some of the clones suppressed:

Hi,

Thanks for the effort. If you type "spirograph sculpture next" into google you will get a few images.
