Hi QuasiLoci,
again, I'm not a sales or marketing person, so I can't comment on why a certain product costs what.
Yes, you are correct, a lot of stuff (including cloud connection) has been removed from SpeedForm (compared to Fusion). Intention here was to put the focus on what's needed in the automotive industry.
For the same reason, we have added some functions (not sure if this list is complete):
1. Wheel Arch primitive
2. Drive by Curve
3. Lattice
4. Create and Edit CV curve
5. Cut
6. Editable Hotkeys
7. Send to Alias/Vred
In addition, you have simplified T-Splines, which are much faster in certain areas like extruding. Also a lot of performance enhancements have been done, including workflow tweaks (especially on the Edit Form command). It would be intersting to hear how you judge working in the Sculp workspace in SpeedForm compared to the one in Fusion.
I don't know what your exact workflow resp. area of work is, so I can't tell if Fusion or SpeedForm is the right way to go. If you are working with a lot of mechanical parts and/or solids, Fusion might the better choice, yes.

I pulled out this particular post from over a year ago. I understand that Speedform is a slightly diff product than Fusion, Fusion is much stronger, but they have some feature that should be migrated over.
I am not asking for specific toolsets, as those should be software specific regardless of how much I LOVE the lattice rig feature for Tsplines.
I am talking about 6 &7. HOTKEYS and SEND TO Command. everyone wants editable hotkeys. It is in the idea station, Why can Speedform have this and Fusion cannot?
"Send To" command. No that we need to send to Alias or VRED, well I need that software, but the majority of Fusion users (99%) do not. They could probably use a customizeable send to command. example: send to solid works, send to Inventor, send to Solid Edge, send to "Insert Software here"
I've seen this in the idea station, Why has fusion not had this functionaltiy?
