Some improvements to the named parameters UI

I think there are a few things that would make the UI for named parameters much more useful and intuitive:

  • Allow sorting the columns (name, expression, etc). Most useful would be name
  • Allow grouping named parameters into folders (eg, you could have a folder for "bracket" and one for "nut" and one for "flange", etc). This could just be for organization or perhaps a namespace?
  • OSX Bug: allow double-clicking of header bar to go full screen or allow resizing for top left corner. When I change monitors to my laptop monitor, the screen extends beyond the visible window so i cannot resize it or see the buttons.
  • Have columns retain their widths between sessions. When I close Fusion, the sizes for my column widths reset, this is annoying since the defaults kinda suck...

I think these changes would go a long way to make using named parameters much more enjoyable!

Dana, Enter your ideas on named parameters in IdeaStation after first searching to see if anything similar has been put forth.  (http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/ideastation-request-a-feature-or/idb-p/125).

In regards to your OSX screen issue, I also use multiple monitors on OSX.  Double clicking anywhere on the top bar (where it says Autodesk Fusion 360) resizes the window to fill (any) of my monitors.  I don't see what you are describing as a bug...

Sorry, maybe my description wasn't clear about the bug: I am talking about the Named Parameter overlay window. Double clicking that window does not expand it full screen on OSX

Hi all...

I posted a related idea on Ideastation on parameters - Parameter Uniqueness per Component - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/ideastation-request-a-feature-or/parameter-uniqueness-per-component-n....

If that would help you for this situation (or some similar situation), please upvote it so we can get these features implemented!

Thanks...
