Sketching on a curved surface?

I have looked at several posts regarding this subject but cannot seem to find one to suit my problem. I want to map the sketch I have created in my picture to the suface of the object and then move it about and edit the nodes. When edited I then wish to cut the sketch profile from the object. Is this possible in Fusion360?

Try: Solid > Create > Emboss

What are you attempting to mode - do you have a picture of something from the real world that is similar to your Design Intent?

Yep thank you for this. I must be losing the plot as I have used this before but only for text.

Hi! There are multiple ways to do this. You may create a new sketch and use Project to Surface command to project the two curve to the selected face (Intersect will work too). Or you may extrude the profile as a surface body and then trim off unwanted portion.

Many thanks!
