Sketch not fully constrained when it should be

I'm new to Fusion 360, but I'm familiar with Solidworks and OnShape. These cad systems are very similar to eachother, and are also similar to Fusion. However, I've found that the sketching techniques I use are nor showing as fully constrained when in fact, they should be. This is really annoying as I rely on this coloring to see if I've missed something. Unfortunatly, it's really difficult to see what I've missed when it keeps giving me false alarms.

I attached a picture: The sketch should be fully constrained, but isn't. This is really frustrating. I finf that I can often redraw everything and use dimensions instead of constraints and the lines will turn black, but the fact that it's equivilent means thare's an obvious issue with how sketches are determined to be fully defined.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you have the option for Sketch Colors enabled in the Preview panel of the Preferences?

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick update. I have noted this behavior on occasion. The Preview status for this feature indicates that it is still in a conceptual phase. I could be missing a constraint or a dimension in the image, but it seems like there still may be some degrees of freedom. Could you share a public link of the design?

There shouldn't be any degree of freedom. I have dragged verts and such and nothing moves.

Thanks for the share! I've logged this under report ID FUS-22505.

Thank you for reporting this. We will take a closer look into the issue.

Hi Fusion team,

I'm having trouble getting a sketch to show as fully constrained. Even simple stuff like centerpoint rectangles or circles with the centeropint on the origin aren't showing as constrained. They can't be dragged, so they are acting fully constrained, but i'm not getting black lines, or pins on the broaser icons. Buggin the heck out of me. The exact same workflow in Inventor produces ful constraints. I had to check just to make sure I wasn't crazy.

Thanks,

Matt
