Sketch lines not showing up in linked drawing

I created a drawing from a 3D model and I am attempting to put a line along an axis in the derived drawing to show that some parts are aligned.  I followed the procedure in https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/unable-to-display-sketch-in-drawing/td-p/8001673 to add the line in a sketch in the original model, but the line is not visible in the drawing.  Just for testing, I also tried just drawing a circle in a sketch one face of the model to see if a closed curve shows up versus just a line, but that also did not show up.  Just in case it it matters, the drawing is an isometric view.

Are there any special incantations required to get sketch lines to show up in a drawing?

In my example, I added a line to the model as a second sketch.  In the drawing I make the sketch visible in the browser to display it.  Make sure you save the model, with the sketch, before trying to activate the sketch in the drawing. Take a look at the Screencast.  I am using the same process as in the link you shared.  Please post your model and drawing if this does not work and let the forum users take a look at it directly.

I made a new test design of a just cube with different sketches on each face here:  https://a360.co/2TPX0v1 .

The associated drawing is here: https://a360.co/2U3emE4 .  I haven't ever used shared links, so I don't know if it is normal that the the browser viewer for the link doesn't show the sketches in the model.

The drawing was created from the model with two sheets.  One sheet is a top view, which shows the lines on both the top and the bottom sketches, even though it is a top view.   The second sheet is an isometric view which does not show lines on any faces.   None of the text in the sketches shows up either, but I'm not sure if it is supposed to.

If there is a better way of sharing the designs other than the above publicly accessible links, please tell me.

First of all, text will not project in the drawing, the process is only for sketch line entities.  Second, isometric views also will not show sketch line entities only orthographic views.  As far as controlling the sketch lines in different views, simply turn them on an off using the drawing browser as desired.  The front and back sketches, you show, have to be on different sketches in the model.

Go back and look at the title of your forum question.  You were asking why "sketch lines" do not show up in the drawing view.  You have your answer. By the way, you also do not have any control over the linetype of sketch lines display in the drawing view.

Is there some reason why sketch lines don't show up in isometric views?  It seems that if they can get them to show up in orthographic views, they should be able to get them to show up in isometric views.

@Anonymous , Today, sketches from Modeling only show up in views that are normal to the sketch plane, which means that they will not show up in isometric views.

The team is currently working on some free-hand drawing/sketching tools natively in the Drawings workspace that will help solve this problem in the future.

Thanks so much for your patience,

Timera

So if I add a sketch plane that is normal to the isometric plane, lines on the plane will show up?

By adding an isometric plane and creating sketch on it, I was able to get the lines to show up in the isometric view.
