your screencast did not make it to your post. Make sure you click on Insert to actually insert the screencast into your post.

Hi,

In your screencast, unfortunately, you can't see the relationship of the sketch in the design.

Please share the file.

File > export > save as f3d on local device  > attach it to the next post.

Your tick copy then move is correct.

It is no longer constrained to the origin, as it is a copy.

Make the window articles from first sketch and then copy pattern the component.

Sketch patterns are not recommended.

Might help....

Hi Dave.

So my sketch copy was correct but I am not sure regarding you second comment. Are you saying that the correct way is to make the one sketch, make the component and then copy the component -,

For some reason I cannot get the screencast to insert so here are the 2 URL

Absolutely.

You make the window, component / assembly.  Pattern them.

Sketch patterns are looking for all constraints to be repeated, for every article within them.

further, if you do copy / pattern the sketch, then you will be making a set of body processes repeatedly, from each of those sketches.

Might help...

1. watch the screencast.

2. patterns can be made in both sketch mode and body mode.
