Simulation Issue

I can't get a simulation to work properly.

Simulation worked fine when I first installed F 360, but all of a sudden it started getting all wonky.  Sometimes it doesn't run at all.  Sometimes it runs for a second or two and then stops.  Sometimes his displays chunks of simulation and then stops.  This is with files that should take 10 minutes to run in the Real World.

I'm running this on  a MS Surface.

Advice on why this happens  and / or what to do about it.  Would be very welcome.
